I have just wandered across all the ntries with the 'assistance' of my little boy and he's picked yours as his favourit and insisted I give it
a rating that's high :] ... I love the top part and my obly quibble would be I'm not sure what the grass/hedge background is about ... even so,
I really like it and so does he :]

How do you do the glow/lighting effects?

It's a photoshop 'layer style' called 'outer glow'. The icons are darkened in their off state by 50% transparent layer with only the icon
shapes filled with black.
